Eleven Point

Life Style / Wine Grapes / Eleven Point: Female pollinate derived from a Captain x Terret Monstre cross. Sibling of Gasconade and Bokay. Developed and released by Southwest Missouri State Univ. in 1947. Resembles its seed parent Captain in cluster shape but superior in quality and larger, being cylindrical in shape and over a foot long. Vigorous in growth with heavy berry production. Flesh is tender, sweet and separates readily from the seeds. Recommended as suitable as a tablegrape or for creating a somewhat bland and non-foxy red wine.
