One of the most compatible vines used by the hybridizers during the 19th century phylloxera crisis in Europe. Still grown on that continent where it is mainly used to produce a sweet dessert wine. Is best known as one of the pedigree parents of the Missouri Riesling, Elvira and Noah oldline varieties.
