Sultanina

Life Style / Wine Grapes / Sultanina: Has many synonym names including Sultana and Sultanieh. Thought to have originated in Persia (modern day Iran). In Australia, under the alias name Murray (River) Riesling, the fruit of this variety is used to make a white wine: as it does in California where it is claimed by some to have the synonym name Thompson Seedless. A claimed mutated variety, known as Sonaka (Seedless), is widely grown in India for use as a tablegrape.
