Life Style / Wine Grapes / Romorantin: Reported to have ten synonym names including Dannery, Daneri, Framboise, Gros Blanc de Villefranche and Ramorantin. Rare french variety thought to have been introduced in the 16th century and, according to a recent DNA check, possibly derived from a Pinot cepage x Gouais Blanc cross. Currently grown near Chambord in the Loire et Cher region of France and used to produce local dry, white 'Cour Cheverny' wine blend.
