Life Style / Wine Grapes / Nesbitt: Black self-fertile V.rotundifolia (ie. Muscadine) cultivar widely grown in the S.E states of the USA. Similar in most respects to the Carlos variety (above), it is reported to be very productive and with good disease resistance. Needs 'girdling' (a.k.a dry scarring) to counteract tendency to ripen over a long period during mid-late season. Good fruit sugar (18%) content.
