Carnelian

Life Style / Wine Grapes / Carnelian: Released in the early 1970's, this red-wine grape was created by Dr. H. P. Olmo, a U. Davis oenologist, some 30 years earlier and derived from crossing Grenache x (Cabernet Sauvignon x Carignan). Currently grown in Central California and, more successfully, in Texas.
