For instance, a character's name might contain an onomastic symbol--if that character is named Faith (as in 'Young Goodman Brown') or Lucy Westenra (which means 'the light of the west') in Bram Stoker's Dracula, or Pandarus (which means 'all-giving' and puns on 'pander') in Chaucer's Troilus and Criseyde. Toponyms are also of interest to onomastic studies.
