Life Style / Wine Grapes / Terrano (Noir): Variety found in the Carso DOC region, Fruili, Italy. Has several synonym names including Refosco d'Istria and Teran. Is thought to be a mutant clone of Refosco. Used to make a flavorsome, dark red wine with berry-like taste requiring 3 to 6 years cellaring. Considered by many to be an excellent match with Slavic cuisine such as Goulasch.
